We call this drink “Swamp Juice”. It’s quite tasty and can be made with or without alcohol. I didn’t include alcohol in this batch but after the morning I had, I was tempted LOL
Ingredients:

• Lemonade mix to make 1 quart
• green food coloring
• red food coloring
• 1 liter cold ginger ale
• 2 liters cold seltzer
• light corn syrup

Directions:
1. In a very large pitcher (or pot), combine all ingredients except the food coloring and corn syrup.
2. Once the lemonade mix is dissolved into the liquid, add the green food coloring until your desired color is achieved.
3. In a separate shallow bowl, pour a generous amount of corn syrup. Add red food coloring and mix well, until it’s blood red.
4. Using the glasses of your choice, dip the rim of the glass in the corn syrup mixture and set them down. The “blood” will start to drip down the glass.
5. Carefully pour your Swamp Juice into the bloody glasses and serve immediately.
OPTIONAL: Add a shot of vodka per glass and gently stir.

Here’s how to make the Pumpkin Spread:

Ingredients:

• 16oz shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 block cream cheese
• 1 block chive and onion cream cheese
• Hot sauce
• Crushed red pepper
• Paprika
• Broccoli Stalk

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the cheddar cheese and both packs of cream cheese. Don’t be afraid to use your hands to mix it. I’ve found that this works well.
2. Add a generous amount of paprika, crushed red pepper and hot sauce. This gives the spread a nice orange color and a little “kick”.
3. Cover the mixture and place it into the fridge for 4 hours.
4. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Place it back into the fridge for another hour.
5. Using the back of a kitchen knife, create ribs (vertical lines) and top it with a broccoli talk.
6. Place the spread on a serving dish and garnish with crackers of your choice.

These “Deviled Eyes” are a Halloween favorite. Perfect for any party or simply a fun snack at home.

Ingredients:

• Eggs
• Mayonnaise
• Mustard (optional)
• Sliced Black Olives
• Green food coloring
• Red food coloring
• 1 toothpick

Directions:
1. Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with water.
2. Bring the water to a full boil (uncovered) then remove the pot from the heat and cover it. Let the pot stand untouched for 17 minutes.
3. Remove the boiled eggs from the water and transfer them to a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes.
4. Carefully peel the shells off of the eggs, then cut them in half (longways).
5. Gently remove the yolks and place them into a shallow bowl.
6. Add mayonnaise (a little at a time) while mashing. Continue to add mayo until the yolk appear to be slight whipped. OPTIONAL: Add mustard to taste)
7. Add a few drops of green food coloring and continue to mix.
8. Scoop out small amount of the mixture, and spoon it into the center of the eggs. Repeat this with all of the eggs.
9. Add 1 sliced black olive to the center of each egg.
10. Finally, (using the toothpick), draw red squiggly lines on the eggs, staring from the inner area, outward.

We have another fun recipe today. We all like to indulge in a sweet treat from time to time, but sometimes we want to change it up a bit. That’s exactly what we did with these delicious BOOnilla Shakes. After serving these to my family, all I heard was a lot of “mmm.. yum” and “I love these mom”. I’m willing to bet they’ll have the same effect on your family too.
Ingredients:

• 1 cup whole milk
• 2 pints vanilla ice cream
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar

Directions
1. Blend milk and 1 pint ice cream in a blender until smooth. With machine running, add remaining pint ice cream, one scoop at a time; blend until smooth. Pour milkshake into six 8-ounce glasses decorated with chocolate faces, filling them 3/4 full.
2. Put cream in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Beat on medium speed until soft peaks form. Add confectioners’ sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
2. Place whipped cream on top and serve immediately.

Today’s Halloween recipe may sound gross but it’s incredibly delicious (and filling)! This is a great main course meal that will really get people talking. They won’t know weather to to cringe or chow down. I can guarantee though, after one bite, they’ll all be hooked!
Please note that this recipe will feed a dozen people as it’s a great party food. Feel free to reduce it down to fit your needs. All you need to do is decrease the amount of ground beef and peppers. You want 1 pepper per person and 1 extra to put in the mixture (as seen in the directions).
Ingredients:

• 3 lbs ground beef
• 13 green peppers
• 1 lb orzo pasta
• 1 onion
• 5 cups spaghetti sauce
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 cup parmesan cheese
• 1 clove garlic
• 4 tablespoons cayenne pepper
• 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
• butter or margarine
• bread crumbs
• ketchup
• 1 egg
• brain mold (optional but VERY handy)

Directions:
1. Cut the tops off of 12 of the peppers and remove the insides.
2. Place them in a baking dish and add water to the bottom of the dish. All you need is enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Cover the peppers with foil and place them into the oven (350 degree’s) for 20 min.
3. Dice up the garlic clove and place it into a skillet with a generous portion of butter (or margarine). Allow the garlic to brown while stirring occasionally.
4. Dice up the extra pepper and the onion. Toss them in with the browned garlic and saute until tender. Once cooked, set the mixture aside. Don’t wash the skillet as you’ll be using this later.
5. In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the orzo pasta and cook thoroughly. This should take about 10-12 minutes.
6. While the orzo is cooking, place the ground beef into a large bowl and add the egg, bread crumbs and ketchup. Mix it well. If the mixture seems to wet/slimy, add more breadcrumbs to soak up the wetness.
7. Form 12 brains out of the meat mixture. To cut down on time, you can use this brain mold. I did mine by hand and it not only took additional time but they’re not as defined as i’d like them to be. You can do it either way though. Note: If you have extra meat left over, cook it in the skillet and add it to the pepper and onion mixture.
8. Place the brains on a baking sheet and cook them for 25 minutes.
9. Combine the orzo and onion/pepper mixture. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, 4 cups spaghetti sauce (reserve 1 cup for garnishing), cayenne pepper and crushed red pepper. Mix until the cheeses are completely melted.
10. Spoon the mixture into all of the peppers. Don’t worry about being perfect. You want some of it to pour out so it looks like maggots crawling.
11. Spoon left over spaghetti sauce onto a serving dish and place the stuffed peppers on top. Add a little sauce to the top of each stuffed pepper and place 1 brain on each. This helps it stay in place. In addition, you can rub a little on top of each brain too, to give it that wet look.

Today’s Halloween recipe is one that can be made well into fall and through Thanksgiving. It’s simple, it’s tasty, and looks beautiful on any holiday table. We call today’s recipe, Savory Squash Soup. Here’s how to make this delectable appetizer:
Ingredients:

• 2 Large acorn squash
• 3 tablespoons of butter (or margarine)
• 1 onion (chopped)
• 10-14 oz chicken broth
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
1. Place the acorn squash in the microwave for 5 minutes. You want it to soften slightly but not cook through.
2. While the squash is in the microwave, saute the onions in the butter over medium heat.
3. After the squash has cooled for a few minutes, slice the tops off and scrap out the inside. BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUNCTURE THE FLESH. If you make a hole in the flesh of the squash, you wont be able to use it as a serving bowl.
4. Separate the seeds from the pulp.
5. Add the pulp to the onion saute and cook for a few minutes. You want it to soften.
6. Add the chicken broth, nutmeg, cayenne pepper and salt and bring it to a boil. Continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes. Note: I like mine to be thicker (like a puree) so I don’t go too heavy on the broth. I recommend using only a little at a time as you can always add more to thin it out.
7. Puree the mixture in a  blender and pour it into the squash shells.
8. Garnish to your liking (I used bay leaves on top and pumpkin seeds on the bottom) and serve.

Today’s Halloween recipe is called Martian Monsters. These are absolutely adorable and oh so fun! Just be sure to set a couple aside for yourself because once people taste these, they’re gonna go fast!
Ingredients:

• 1 dozen cupcake (prepared according to recipe on the box)
• 1 can of vanilla icing
• Food Coloring (any color you prefer)
• Chow mein noodles
• 24 pretzels sticks
• 24 mini marshmallows
• Black food gel for writing
• Cupcake liners

Directions:
1. Prepare the cupcakes according to the recipe on the box, but make sure to use cupcake liners.
2. Allow the cupcakes to cool, then ice the tops. You only need a thin layer.
3. Insert 2 pretzels in each cupcake. These will act as the base for the eyes.
4. Insert chow mein noodles in random places on each cupcake. You want them pointing in different directions.
5. Place the cupcakes in the freezer for 10 minutes.
6. Scoop the remaining icing into a small but deep bowl and microwave for 10 seconds at a time. You want it to be somewhat soupy.
7. Mix in food coloring (whatever color you prefer). Make sure to mix it well.
8. Remove the cupcakes from the freezer and gently submerge the tops (upside down) into the colored icing. Carefully shake off the extra icing. Do this with all of the remaining cupcakes and place them into the freezer again for 10 more minutes.
9. Using a sharp knife, make a hole in the bottom of each marshmallow. This will help them slide in place easier.
10. Take the cupcakes out of the freezer and slide the marshmallows onto the pretzel sticks.
11. Using black writing gel (or a food coloring marker), add pupils to each marshmallow.

Today’s recipe is called Ladies Lips. This is a very simple and cost effective recipe that only requires 3 ingredients. Pretty cool huh? Here’s how to make these luscious lips:
Ingredients:

• Red apples
• Mini marshmallows
• Peanut butter, Honey or Icing (your choice)

Directions:
1. Slice the apple in half (from stem to base).
2. Slick the apples in to 1/4 inch slices. These will be your “lips”.
3. Place peanut butter, honey or icing (again, this is your choice on which to use) on one side of each apple slice, and place marshmallows on top. Note: Only place marshmallows on half of the apple slices.
3. Place the remaining apple slices on top to act as the upper lip and voila… you’re done!

Ingredients:
1 pack of Oreos
1 pkg of cream cheese
1 bag white chocolate chips
M&M’s (or Reese’s pieces or skittles)
Red writing gel
wax paper
Directions:
1. Crush up 2 rows of Oreo’s until they turn into a fine powder.
2. Cut the cream cheese into piece and toss them into the Oreo’s. Mix well. This is best done in a mixer or food processor but can be done by hand if needed. If doing it by hand, I recommend LITERALLY doing it by hand. Get in the and mix it well.
3. Pinch off pieces of the mixer and roll them into 1 1/2 inch balls. You should end up with about 18 of them.
4. Place them onto wax paper and put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
5. Right before you take them out of the freezer, melt the chocolate in the microwave. You’ll want to do this in small batches as it hardens quickly.
6. Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer and working with 1 at a time, place it on a skewer and spoon on the white chocolate to cover the entire surface. Allow each one to harden just long enough so you can remove it from the skewer and place it back on to the max paper. Repeat this step until all of the Oreo balls are coated.
7. With some of the left over melted chocolate, dab on a small amount to the top of each eye (working as you go) and apply1 of the candies on top. This will act as the retina of the eye.
8. Once you’ve applied a candy to all of the eyes, use the red writing gel to make squiggly lines (working from the outer eye towards the retina.
9. That’s it! Enjoy your delicious treats!

I got to review a Soda Stream! I was SO excited that they chose me! Here's what I got..

I ran to the store to get milk and happened to buy some Coca Cola. My husband looks at me and says why did you buy pop when we have some. My first responce was no we don't. He looked at his cup then the soda stream! I started laughing! I totally forgot! So while I was gone he made Root Beer. He wouldn't let me take any pictures of him :( So it was my turn! I have to say it is VERY FUN and EASY! All you do is put the container of CO2 in the back. Add very cold water to the bottle and twist it into the machine.

You push the button 3 times until it makes a loud noise. Thats it! Then you have to try to decide what flavor you want. With all of the different types of flavors good luck! But don't worry you can always try new ones! I decided to try the diet pink grapefruit.

Once you decide what flavor you want (this is the small sample package) you just open it up and add a capful very slowly. If you add it fast it will come out like you just shook then opened a pop.

I was so happy to get to try it! Once you pour in your flavor you just put the lid on the container and tilt it slowly. My son Aaiden got to try it first! He was so excited to get to try the pop that we just made! He was very pleased with it!

So after he got to try it I finally did! I LOVED it! I was unsure about the grapefruit flavor but it was wonderful! I def. recommend the Soda Stream to everyone! It is a great thing to have! They also have flavors you can add to your drink! I haven't tried it yet but I will continue to try all of the different flavors. So if your have the opportunity to get a Soda Stream GET IT! They are great! They also DON'T plug in! They are awesome!
